Keelan O'Connell aka the "Big Moose"

Moose originates from his former homeland of Canada where he started in the Arboriculture industry nearly 13 years ago. Soon after migrating and achieving citizenship in his new beautiful home that is Australia, Keelan obtained the nickname "Moose" for being big and Canadian. After climbing and dismantling trees for many years around Perth, South Metro TAFE picked up on his passion, experience and knowledge of conducting tree works and has been teaching casually the 6 "physical/practical" units in the Certificate III Arboriculture program. If all the above wasn't enough Moose decided to hunt down, climb and measure all of Western Australia's biggest trees for sport, recreation and appreciation. Soon after a following began and Moose started the "Big Moose Crew" a group of recreational climbers that meet monthly/annually. Now in the present, Moose is focusing his efforts on the new frontier running a small business... Big Moose Tree Service.

Rob the "Fearless"

Rob is the Moose's right hand man, Rob always comes forth when the Moose cries out for help! Rob being a talented climber, arborist and rope rigger himself makes him a solid asset to the team. Moose met Rob as his student at TAFE many years ago and has since worked with Moose on countless jobs and always comes along for the Giant Recreation Climbing events. The way Rob likes to violently swing around in trees and his crazy display of aerial rope acrobatics has earned him the nickname "Fearless Rob"

Apart from Rob, Moose is also lucky enough to have a large quiver of ex students legends who love to jump on the crew when required. Moose never has to doubt about a workers safety or skills considering he has known them for many years and taught them himself.
